About Sustainable Life Blog

The Sustainable Life blog was created to share my journey to sustainability with the readers.  This blog includes posts on personal finance, personal and mental health, and the environment.   It has tips and hints to help you stay green, stay in the green, and stay healthy during your life.

The blog is most certainly not meaning to make your life complicated by filling your life with more “choices” on how to do things, but rather providing you with helpful information regarding why and how to be more sustainable.  This blog was also not created to tell you how you should live your life, but was created for those who are interested in changing habits to make themselves into healthier, happier, and more financially secure people.
Typically, the best thing for the earth, your health and your wallet are the same thing, but habit, “convenience” and many other things prevent us from taking that route.   Minimalism  is also approached in the blog, as I’ve found that the less stuff you have, the less stuff you have to deal with. The fewer things you have to worry about that you don’t like, the more time you can spend more time doing the things you enjoy as opposed to doing the things you dont enjoy.

All aspects of sustainability will be covered, and the blog will cover areas of sustainability, personal finance, and health.  Many see these areas as fundamentally different, but I don’t.  I’m a fan of killing 2 (or 3) birds with one stone and these three typically fly together.  For example, if you wanted to get healthy, help the plant and save money, just ride your bike to work.  It will save you money on gas (and you may even be able to get rid of your car insurance), you’ll reduce pollution from your cars tailpipe and you’ll get some exercise!  As far as my commitment goes, I will be blogging about my finances at least once a month to keep accountability with the readers, as well as things im doing to keep my health intact and help out our planet.
