I swiped this from My Pretty Pennies (who has an awesome blog, btw) and thought the Monday Money Check-Up was a good idea. I dont know if I’ll do it every week, but I figured this would be something interesting to do every once in a while. (Also, in a more real note, I allocated a significant amount of my time last week volunteering for an event in town, and I’ll be on vacation for 3 days at the end of this week. This was a fairly interesting and easy finance/goals post).
1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on: I didnt buy much of anything last week, because I was volunteering. They fed us and everything, but I spent the most on a hat, and it cost $16.
2. Today I feel fine about money.
3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free/inexpensive thing I did last week that made me happy was: worked at the rodeo.
4. I will consider this week a success if I have a good vacation, go to the post office and take my book back to the library.
5. Would you rather own a lake house, a beach house, or a mountain house? Probably a beach house, but my preferred choice (farm/ranch) is not on here.
What are your 5 Answers?
(Hopefully, next week I can get back into my Thursday links routine and showcasing the great bloggers that have linked back to me recently. There’s been some great ones)

The most I spent this week was on pizza for D and me ($13.09).
Today, I feel anxious about money. I’m waiting for all my bill payments to post to my checking account. It’s frustrating not having the exact number in front of me. (I could just gather up the bill emails and subtract, but I’d rather the bank do that for me.
)
One free/inexpensive thing I did last week was window shop with D in Market Square. There are a lot of local businesses with some interesting products there, but we commited to not buy anything on our trip.
I will consider this week a success if I finish skimming my third textbook, return the textbooks to the library and get the apartment in back-to-school shape.
Lake house, beach house, mountain house? Geez. I love the mountains, but the snow on our mountains makes it hard to drive around in the winter. (Maybe that’s a good thing – less spending?) If I had a beach house, I’d worry about hurricanes. So I’m going with lake house. The lake we visit almost every weekend has beautiful homes, and many of the homes have personal boat docks. Fun!
Good read. I think that it is really important that people give importance to their financial status, goals and stability. Definitely a must-read for those who need help.
