Weekly Links – Change Edition

If you’ve noticed, I’ve been making quite a few changes to the site recently.  I did have to take the site down for about 18 hours, but was able to get it back up soon enough.  The changes aren’t finished yet as there’s still quite a few things I’d like to figure out/add (like color).  On the Up side, I was able to get everything moved over with success, and once I thought about it, it was much easier than I had made it at first.   I still have yet to figure out if I’ve become suddenly unpopular and not gotten any emails, or if I somehow broke that as well.   If anyone would like help migrating their website, feel free to ask me anything you’d like.   I’ll try to be helpful.  All that being said, it’s time for some links.

Over the last 2 weeks, Financial Samurai put up some posts on what the best region of the country was.  He picked the East Coast and West Coast, and took a lot of flack for both of them.  I decided to put up something on the region I live in (Mountain West) and Red decided to do the same for her region (south).   Im not sure what’s gotten into any of them, because the mountain west is best.  I’ll prove it tomorrow.   Im hoping that someone can come through for us for the other the southwest (defined for these purposes as Texas, New Mexico or Arizona) and the Midwest as well.  If you’re interested, leave me a comment and get to writing!   I’ll share all the links again sometime.

This post at PopSci is awesome.  It talks about 9 of the worlds greenest communities, including tornado torn greenburg, ks.  (I’m slightly partial to this because I got caught in an earlier tornado from this same storm where I live in wyoming.  It was my first tornado)
